NotSoFancy!

It's getting more and more common for web servers to deny you control over certain basic parts of the .htaccess directive file. One of the most annoying to me is denial of control over directory indexing.

Not only are some servers denying use of +FancyIndexing, they deny all directory listing period!

Enter NotSoFancy, a simple PHP script to let you create your own fancy indexes — and since you have full control you can make it a lot fancier than the Apache basics ever would.

If you're interested in seeing a demo of NotSoFancy! at work, here's a hint: you're looking at one. This entire website is powered by the latest version.

More examples can be found in /samples/, a collection of links to other sites running NotSoFancy! installs.
